Ciao (hello)!

Ayanna at the Spanish Steps - her first day in Italy.

We've arrived. Back to familiar territory, 'home sweet home' as Ayanna calls it.

Italy was exciting, and at the same time exhausting – a mix of surprises and challenges at every narrow street and sprawling piazza. Travelling with a toddler opened our eyes to an Italy we would not have seen otherwise – local playgrounds and parks. While we indulged Ayanna, we most certainly made time for ourselves, slipping into a local cafe for our morning shot of espresso or savouring a long drawn meal as Ayanna dozed off to sleep in her stroller.
