Tickles, a centre catering to programmes for children with special needs or learning disabilities, is organising a Community Day on Aug 6.

The event will feature complimentary screenings for children suspected of having developmental delays. These screenings will help parents detect if a child has a learning disability, a delay or a disorder. If a disability, delay or disorder is detected, Tickles will refer the child for an assessment to confirm.

The team involved include a clinical pyschologist, a speech therapist and occupational therapists.

For a screening on the day, parents are urged to call (03) 6148-3142 to book. There is no fee, however it is on a first-come, first-served basis.
