There are several activities being organised at the MPH Bookstores in 1Utama, Petaling Jaya, and Mid Valley in Kuala Lumpur this weekend.

Firstly, there is the MPH-Usborne Reading Programme & Carnival Launch.

Venue: Booker Room at the MPH Megastore in 1Utama

Usborne founder and publisher Peter Usborne is in Malaysia and he will be at the launch. There will be lots of fun activities for the children and parents.

The agenda for the launch is as follows:

2.10pm        Presentation on History of Usborne & Usborne Reading Programme
2.20pm        Speech by Donald Kee, COO MPH Bookstores

2.35pm        Official Launch of MPH-Usborne Reading Programme

2.45pm        Tour of Usborne Corner at MPH 1Utama

Venue: Booker Room of the MPH Megastore in 1Utama

Usborne will be sharing his vast experience in the English children’s books publishing industry. Parents, educators, book sellers, book lovers, aspiring children’s books writers and the general public are welcome to join.

The talk is titled Writing & Publishing Children Books and Usborne’s Success Stories by Peter Usborne.

Pre-registration is required at MPH Megastore 1Utama's Customer Service (03-7726-9003), limited seats available.

Storytelling sessions will also be held at the MPH Megastore in 1Utama and MPH Mid Valley.

The two-hour sessions will comprise of one hour of storytelling. Children will enjoy listening as the Usborne children's books come to life. The second hour will be devoted to getting tips from the storyteller on selecting the right books for your children.

There will also be some fun activities for children to participate in. There will also be a free gift for every participant, while stocks last.
