The Malaysian Society of Allergy & Immunology (MSAI) is organising a workshop to help parents understand allergies. Titled “Managing Childhood Allergies,” the workshop is being held in conjunction with Malaysian Allergy Day.
The educational workshop is spearheaded by MSAI president, Dr Amir Hamzah Abdul Latiff, clinical immunologist and allergist.
It will be held on Sept 22, 2012, at the Sunway Hotel Spa & Resort, Bandar Sunway, Selangor, from 9am-12.30pm.
The topics covered are:
- The Allergy March Is On!
Presented by Dr Amir Hamzah
- How to Manage Food Allergy and Eczema
Presented by Dr Intan Hakimah Ismail, consultant paediatrician/paediatric allergist/immunologist
- Allergy Self-Test: What Why and How?
Presented by Dr Norleen Mohd Salleh, consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist
The workshop will close with a Q & A session chaired by Dr Amir Hamzah where participants will be handsomely rewarded for their participation.
The first 100 participants to arrive on the day will receive a goodie bag. Light refreshments will be served. Children who attend will also get to learn about allergies. There will also be prizes at the game stations.
