There's a new cartoon in town and his name is Chowder. He loves food and he loves cooking. This little boy wants to be a great chef just like his teacher Mung Daal. The problem is, as with all kids, things do go wrong for Chowder and accidents do happen and yes, Chowder tends to get into a whole lot of trouble.

Sounds fun? Well, here's more. Chowder lives with Mung Daal and his wife Truffles. And, they all live in Marzipan City.

Sounds positively yummy!

The cartoon starts April 6; that's every Monday at 7pm on Astro's Cartoon Network.
 

To announce the show and Astro's four-hour Bahasa Malaysia language block, Astro and Cartoon Network had a launch event at BSC in Bangsar, KL.

(The four-hour BM language block is from Mon-Fri from 5-9pm and on Saturdays and Sundays from 9am-1pm. This means that for the four hours daily, children can choose to either watch the shows in English, BM or Mandarin.)
 

At the launch event, some lucky children were treated to a demonstration on how to bake and decorate cup cakes. They even had the chance to decorate their own cup cakes and eat them, too!

The children looked like they had a good time with the decorating and eating. And although Chowder wasn't there in person, his spirit sure was as kids were spilling colourful icing on the floor and on themselves.
