In conjunction with Mother's Day, Bio-Oil, a specialist skin care oil, recently organised a “Beauty of Motherhood” session at Fit for 2, Bangsar Village II, Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur.

Sharing their motherhood experiences were two local celebrities, actress and entrepreneur Dynas Mokhtar as well as Dr Jezamine Lim Iskandar, wife of local comedian Harith Iskandar.

Dr Lim and Harith are proud parents to a bouncing baby boy named Zander Xayne. Dr Lim, a first-time mother said that it is the most amazing experience and it has changed her life tremendously. The bond between her child is growing every day and the bond with her husband has grown stronger since the birth of their son. She explained that the communication with Harith has increased to a whole different level and being parents now has taught them to be more responsible.

“Whenever I'm out and my son is left at home, I constantly worry about him and wonder what he's up to, even though he's only 10 weeks old!” Dr Lim gushed over her newborn.

She said that both she and Harith would want another baby as watching their baby's facial expressions change every single day brings utmost joy to them. This alone inspires them to have more children in the future.

Looking beautiful and exceptionally radiant after childbirth, Dr Lim said she had used Bio-Oil to keep the pregnancy stretch marks at bay.

Unlike Dr Lim, Dynas has been a mum for two years now. She is currently expecting her second child. Daughter Khyra Khalyssa is anxiously anticipating the birth of her sibling. According to Dynas, her daughter has started bonding with the baby by kissing her belly every morning. Dynas also said that she and her husband are more likely expecting a baby boy (the scan is not 100% conclusive).

“Being a mother is not easy and I now realise what my own mother went through. Her dedication and sacrifices are what made me the mother I am today. Watching my daughter grow and the different stages she goes through each day is the most rewarding feeling ever.

“Having a supportive husband is also one of the main factors that drives me to be a better mother,” added Dynas, referring to her husband Mohd Hafizi Mohd Hafiz who has been hands-on from the start.

Dynas said that she started using Bio-Oil during her first pregnancy and according to her it helped tremendously with the itchiness. She also likes using it because it doesn't have an odour, which some pregnant mums might be sensitive to, and it is non-greasy therefore feels comfortable on her skin.

After the friendly chat with the celebrity mothers, members of the media ventured on to the cupcake decorating activity while mingling with Dynas and Dr Lim's families.
