Afdlin Shauki, wife Christina and their daughters Anaif and Miasara.

Local actor Afdlin Shauki has two daughters with his wife Christina Orow – Miasara (born 1999), and Anaif (born 2001).

He tells The Star how he came up with the idea for his latest movie Papadom:

“We were on a holiday together and I looked at my wife and wondered what I would do if she were not around. What would happen if she were suddenly taken away? What would I do as a man and a father?

“Most married men are too dependent on their wives for their family’s well-being. What happens when that source of strength is gone?”
