Phineas and Ferb - The Fast and the Phineas

Running time: 108 minutes

Phineas and Ferb is one of those really good cartoons to come out of recent times. This is a sure way to keep your kids busy for the duration. It's entertaining, fun and is great to encourage creativity and imagination.

Besides the fun stuff that brothers Phineas and Ferb are always building in their own backyard, there's also the sub-plot of Perry and Platypus, also known as Agent P.

It's so cute how one of the characters always asks “Where's Perry?” to start the sub-plot.

The stories about Agent P battling Dr Doofenshmirtz gets more interesting in this DVD as we see what happens when the devious doctor gets a new nemesis. It starts affecting both Agent P and Dr Doofenshmirtz and they end up going for counselling on a TV talk show, even! Hilarious!

From episode to episode, Dr Doofenshmirtz reveals part of his past, explaining why he is the way he is today. His background story also serves to endear him to viewers.

To a smaller extent is the interesting ongoing story of Phineas and Ferb's sister Candace who has a crush on Jeremy. If only she'd stop trying to impress him long enough to notice he seems to like her back.

Another thing I really like about this cartoon are the songs. They're funny, catchy and kids will love dancing or jumping along to them.

Here are the episodes on this DVD:

One Good Scare Ought to do it – Isabella has the hiccups. Phineas and Ferb build a haunted house in their backyard to help her get rid of the hiccups.

The Fast and the Phineas – The boys build a remote-controlled race car and enter a race!

Lawn Gnome Beach Party of Terror – Phineas and Ferb build a whole beach, with ocean too, in their backyard!

Are You My Mummy? - The family visit a museum. Candace falls into some bubble gum and toilet paper and ends up wrapped like a mummy. Just what the boys wanted – their own mummy!

Flop Starz – Candace wants to enter the Pop Teen Idol Star show. Before she gets her five minutes of fame, Phineas and Ferb are already pop stars PFT (Phineas and the Ferb-Tones)! This is the episode where the song Gitchee Gitchee Goo (Means That I Love You) is featured. Yes, even adults will find themselves bopping along to this song, strangely!

Raging Bully – Former boxer Evander Holyfield trains Phineas before he takes on Buford the bully.

Lights, Candace, Action! - Candace gets the lead role on a movie, only to find her directors are Phineas and Ferb!

It's About Time! - Phineas and Ferb build a time travel machine. Along with Candace, the boys travel back to prehistoric time.

Watch! Watch! Watch! Great fun for the whole family and completely rewatchable over and over again. - Review by S.N.
