THE Tale Of Despereaux (pronounced as ''Des-per-roh'') is about a very brave and adorable mouse by the name of Despereaux Tilling (Broderick).

Born as a very small mouse in the magical Kingdom of Dor, Despereaux considers himself an even match with all the other mice despite his puny size.

Along with superb eyesight, the little rodent possesses big ears that allow him to hear better than the other rodents. Despereaux's only problem is his unbridled courage, which is strongly frowned upon by the elders in the kingdom. As a result, he is banished to Rat World which is said to be infested with hungry rats.

In addition to being banished to mice hell, our hero has to rescue the beautiful Princess Pea (Watson) who is being kept prisoner in the darkness of Rat World. He enlists the help of Roscuro (Hoffman) and a bumbling servant girl in his mission.
